The interior of the house is prefectly designed for families, there is a space for everyone to enjoy. The back porch living space is amazing.
Everything is clean and well placed, but i didn’t feel like I had to follow the children around to keep a pristine house; It felt like a well used, well loved beach house!
The beach entrance is very close, I took advantage to set up a blanket & umbrellas while everyone in the house prepared for the ebach, walked back to the house for breakfast and returned with the whole family.
I don’t know the area very well but the location felt prefect, a short walk to the grocery, donut/breakfast bagel/ coffee shop, beach shops, everything we needed. Two nights we ordered from Topsail Steamer (if you’re a seafood lover it’s definitely worth the cost). We walked in the evenings to the ice cream shop.
I have nothing but great things to say, will be back again in the future!

Our stay at Sea Silts was memorable to say the least. We arrived on Saturday and had three amazing days there. The house has clean and the accommodations prefect for what we were looking for. the view from the deck in the back facing the ocean was nothing short of picturesque. Having coffee in the morning and watching the sunrise every day was a highlight of the trip. The beach was clean and not busy at all. We felt alone while we were out there and the kids really enjoyed the surf and sand. George and Brenda couldn’t have been better hosts. On Tuesday the town declared a state of emergency due to Hurricane Idalia. George and Brenda texted and called us multiple times to keep us up to date on the storm status. I couldn’t be more greateful to have stayed at their house. We will be back! You couldn’t be in better hands. George and Brenda you are the best!

Exactly as advertised! This place was amazing!! Very, very close the beach. It was also super clean! The beds were very comfortable and towels and linens were cozy.
George and Brenda were very proactive giving us check in info in advance as well as dining recommendations. We had a couple of questions after we checked in and they were answered within 15 minutes!
It was nice that there were a few toys and kids books that didn’t take up much space but were a novelty for our kiddos.
The back covered porch is where we had dinner each night and spent the evening after the kids went to bed. There was a nice breeze and plenty of seating.

Our family loved our stay at Making Memories! The house is wonderful, very clean, and sits close to the beach. One of our favorite features was the huge back porch with tons of comfortable seating. We all enjoyed our coffee every morning back there, and a couple of evenings, we chose to eat in on the dining table on the back porch. It was great!
There are several restaurants nearby, as well as a public park where we took the grandchildren one evening to play. The house is also located close to the Surf City Bridge, where my husband and I took a beautiful walk one morning.
I would highly recommend Making Memories for your family vacation!

Our family of eight, ages from 11 to 82, had a wonderful time Making Memories at George & Brenda’s beautiful home! Location was prefect, very walkable to the beach and a variety of restaurants and shops. The house was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with cookware and utensils. The wine/beverage fridge also came in very handy. We all especially loved spending time on the HUGE covered porch out back. But our favorite part was the new family tradition we created— at the end of the each day, the eight of us gathered in the back TV room to watch an episode of Murder She Wrote. George & Brenda, thanks for helping our family with Making Memories!

This house was fantastic. The location was beautiful – from the cool canopied driveway to the pier and the prefect back patio. Kitchen was well appointed and the beach was a short walk across the street. The house was clean and well maintained. I had one issue at check in with sheets smelling funny on several beds our first night but by the following evening the host had replacemenets sheets delivered.

I’d give this place six stars if I could! Lovely, clean, quiet, private, sun-filled, and surrounded by the most magical trees. Dallas was responsive and friendly, and we’d gladly rent from him again! The house is well-represented in the listing photos but still was even better than we expected, and the walk to the deep, white sand beach is even shorter than it looks in the listing. Exceptional stay!

What a great place to stay if you’re looking for walkability to the beach steps away and moments from shops and restaurants. Everything was clean and as photographed. A peaceful week with a stress-free stay. Tons of added amenities with bikes, beach chairs, sand tools, you name it!

We loved our stay at George and Brenda’s place. The home is true to the pictures, if not better as they’ve recently upgraded all the kitchen appliances. The location is prefect, quiet street and amazing views. Everything was clean, beds and furniture were comfortable, and our hosts communicated clearly before and during our stay. Thumbs up!

We felt at home here. The house was clean, comfortable, and hhad everything we needed. I appreciated the attention to detail and anticipation of what would help guests feel comfortable and at ease. Easy walk to the beach, even with two young kids. We would absolutely stay here again!
